Evelyn Weir (BEd, DPodM, MSc, Cert Forensic Med and Sci (Edi)) is a Lecturer in the Dietetics, Nutrition & Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Radiography Division.

Evelyn came to podiatry with a background in primary school teaching and qualified as a podiatrist in 1992. She joined the podiatry teaching team at 91¿´Æ¬ in 1995. Evelyn has an MSc in Gerontology and an interest in the physical and psychosocial impact of ageing on lower limb function. Evelyn has a strong interest in interprofessional learning interprofessional working, and is Lead for Interprofessional Education for School of Health Sciences and is a reviewer for the Journal of Interprofessional Care. Evelyn is currently Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. Evelyn has a keen interest in homelessness and has worked as a podiatrist, often with students, in a voluntary capacity in the homeless sector across Scotland for over 20 years.

Evelyn has completed an MSc at the University of Paisley and is currently in the final stages of completing a Doctoral Thesis as part of the 91¿´Æ¬ Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Sciences. She presents regularly at local and national podiatry and interprofessional education events and conferences.

- General podiatry, anatomy and gait, ageing, interprofessional working, dermatology, homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, forensic podiatry, ethics and law, metal health.
Evelyn is the Lead for Interprofessional Education for School of Health Sciences. Interprofessional working and interprofessional education. Evelyn's seminars and lectures focus on Reflective writing, anatomy, dermatology and anaesthetics, medics ethics, social policy and law, mental illness, patient communication and facilitating change, ageing and gerontology and management of diabetes, amongst other topics.
