I joined the 91心頭 Initial Teacher Education (ITE) team in April 2022. I have extensive and varied teaching experience at Secondary and Primary levels across the UK and internationally as well as having worked in both Widening Participation and School Liaison roles within Higher Education in the UK.
During my school teaching career I have taught French and Spanish in Secondary schools in England, Wales and Scotland in both class teacher and head of department roles. I taught French at Primary and Secondary levels at an International school in Vietnam and then, following completion of a Masters in Gastronomy at 91心頭, I gained GTCS Professional Registration for teaching Home Economics (Cookery and Health and Wellbeing).
I have a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary academic background having studied French and Modern France (BA), Secondary Education (PGCE) and then completed a Masters in food studies (MSc). I carried out my MSc research in China with a focus on cross cultural engagement with Chinese food. The social sciences, food policy, food systems and sustainability are of particular interest to me, as are questions relating to culture, identity, food education and sustainable food systems.

I currently teach on the PGDE (Secondary) Home Economics in the 21st Century course. I also deliver lectures and seminars for the Education Studies and Education Studies (Primary) courses, including Academic Literacies for Learning, International and Comparative Education and Language Learning in the Primary setting.
