Why did you choose to study at 91心頭?
I chose to study at 91心頭 for three reasons: The university was welcoming to all ethnic groups, I love the city of Edinburgh and the fees were competitive and within my budget.
What interested you about your chosen course?
"International Management and Leadership is a fascinating course because it provides insights into the challenges and opportunities of managing and leading in a globalised world which is essential for todays interconnected economy."
It emphasises the importance of cultural awareness and sensitivity helping us students to develop skills to effectively lead a diverse team. More importantly, the course encourages strategic thinking as it teaches students to analyse global trends and develop strategies to succeed in international markets. Overall, it helps students become adaptable, culturally sensitive, and global strategic leaders.
Why attracted you to study in Edinburgh?
I had the pleasure of working with a Scot before coming to study here. Edinburgh was something we would often talk about, so I was eager to visit.
What have you most enjoyed about your course? What has been the highlight?
The interesting and dynamic lectures, the way each module is connected, the case studies, and most importantly, the presentation exercise. I was always stage-frightened and shy, so the presentations were really difficult for me. However, because it was graded, I had to confront my fears head-on by improving myself. Now I'm better at it.
How have your lecturers supported your learning?
I have excellent lecturers who have consistently encouraged me and pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Even when I think my questions may seem foolish, they are always willing to listen and respond thoughtfully. I will never forget the saying There is no right or wrong answer. The lectures have helped me to develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
What have been some of your challenges with the course and university life? How have you overcome them?
After leaving my home country, adjusting to life in Edinburgh and managing my academic responsibilities proved to be quite challenging. When I first arrived, it was challenging to find accommodation and deal with the exchange rate spike. However, with the help of God and support of family and friends, I was able to get through it. My slogan: I came, I saw, and I conquered.
What 91心頭 student services have you used to support you through your university journey and how have they helped you?
